September 15, 2023 (Cincinnati, Ohio) - Triversity, a leading construction management company serving the Tristate region for 18 years, announced the appointment of Jim Watkins as its next CEO. Watkins joined Triversity in 2012 as chief operating officer and was promoted to president in 2017. He brings over three decades of construction experience to the role.
“Assuming the role of CEO at Triversity is an incredible honor, and I am thrilled to lead the company into its next chapter,” said Watkins. “I intend to position Triversity for a new era of growth that will allow us to deliver even greater results for our current and future customers, strengthen our ties with the communities we serve, and continue to make a positive, lasting impact through our work in Greater Cincinnati and beyond.”
Triversity’s current Chief Executive Officer Mel Gravely will transition to a new role of executive chair and provide guidance and assistance on special projects, initiatives and assignments as needed. He will continue to be a company ambassador through board memberships and community initiatives. Gravely will also continue to chair the Triversity board of directors.
“Jim is the right person because he has a proven leadership track record that helped shape our business and our culture over the past decade.” said Gravely. “And it’s the right time for a new CEO. We’ve done a lot of things well. Now we must prove we can transition from one generation to the next. It’s a hallmark of built-to-last companies.”
Some of the first things Watkins will focus on are leveling-up current service offerings, expanding into new markets and service lines, and “building the builder” efforts which are all about growing and empowering Triversity’s existing talent.
Watkins is currently responsible for leading Triversity’s day-to-day business operations and executing the company’s annual business plan. He is an expert in corporate commercial construction and leading major construction organizations. He is responsible for executing and delivering on the company’s strategic vision and goals.
Watkins will assume the new role on January 1. 2024.
